The M4 is the high performance version of the 4 Series made by the motorsport arm of BMW since 2014, a coupe and later a convertible. The first generation F82 and F83 appeared in 2014 with limited editions such as the M4 GTS, the DTM Champion Edition and the CS. The second generation G82 and G83 began assembly in November 2020, with a convertible in May 2021, the CSL announced in 2022 and a new M4 CS in 2024. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the F82/F83 (2014 to 2020); the G82/G83 (2020 onward).
