The NA5 is the second generation iX3 and the first BMW designed around the Neue Klasse generation, riding on a new platform instead of sharing one with the petrol X3 that is sold next to it. Its design language was previewed by a concept in March 2024 and the production car was shown at the Munich show in 2025 with one powertrain, the 50 xDrive. A long wheelbase version for China was revealed in 2026. Its model years run from 2024 to present.
