The NA5 made its production debut at the Munich Motor Show in 2025 as the first BMW of the Neue Klasse era, launched with a single version, the iX3 50 xDrive. It uses an 800 volt architecture with a 108 kilowatt hour battery that can accept up to 400 kilowatts from a fast charger, and has the Panoramic iDrive system with a display projected along the base of the windscreen. A rear drive 40 version was expected later.
