BMW 5 Series (E34)

Automobiles

The E34 was the third 5 Series, a smoother and more modern car that was launched as a saloon in January 1988 after development that ran from 1981 to early 1987. It added the first Touring estate in 1992, a V8 in the 530i and 540i in 1993, a diesel 525tds and the second M5 with a 3.8 liter six cylinder. A hybrid concept shows BMW's interest in electric 5 Series. Its model years run from 1988 to 1996.
