The AMC Javelin is a pony car produced by American Motors Corporation from 1968 to 1974, developed as the smaller manufacturer's answer to the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, with a distinctive tunneled rear window and available large displacement V8 engines. It was also developed into the two seat AMX variant and was raced successfully in the Trans-Am road racing series.
