The second-generation MDX was released in October 2006 as a 2007 model, wider and longer than before, with a 3.7 litre V6 making 300 horsepower and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive in place of the VTM-4 system. Its body was engineered with Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering structure and the suspension was tuned at the Nurburgring. Option packages for the first three years were Sport, Technology and Entertainment. It was built exclusively in Alliston, Ontario, and in 2010 it received a facelift with Acura's Power Plenum grille.
