The facelifted Solterra was unveiled at the April 2025 New York Auto Show for the 2026 model year. It received a new front end and a 25 percent range improvement over the pre facelift model. Power was increased to 233 horsepower thanks to stronger front and rear motors, and the battery was increased to 74.7 kilowatt hours. The Subaru Trailseeker and E-Outback were introduced on 16 April 2025. The name Solterra derives from sol and terra, Latin words for sun and earth.
