The Levorg of 2024 was in its fifth year of the second generation, sold in Japan with the 1.8 liter CB18 engine and Subaru's EyeSight, as a mid size wagon on the Subaru Global Platform, and in Australia and New Zealand as the WRX Sportswagon and WRX GT with the 2.4 liter FA24F engine. The Layback crossover variant joined the range. The name Levorg is a portmanteau of Legacy, revolution and touring. The second generation Levorg sits on the Subaru Global Platform used by the majority of Subaru's family cars.
