In 2022 the bZ4X reached customers, launched in Japan on 12 May for lease, with deliveries in Europe in summer, in Thailand on 9 November and in Indonesia on 10 November. China took it in October with CATL batteries of 50.3 or 66.7 kWh, and the Subaru Solterra, built on the same platform, went on sale in mid 2022. This was the first model year of the Toyota bZ4X (single generation), 2022 to 2026, the first generation covered for the Toyota bZ4X; the 2023 model year follows it.
