In November 2021 Subaru announced that the FA24F equipped Levorg would also be sold in the Japanese market, as the STI Sport R model. On 14 October 2021 the second generation Levorg was introduced in Australia and New Zealand as the WRX Sportswagon and the WRX GT. Fuel economy improved from 16.0 to 16.6 kilometers per liter. The second generation Levorg sits on the Subaru Global Platform used by the majority of Subaru's family cars.
