Indian production of the Etios stopped in March 2020, as Bharat Stage 6 went into effect in April, since Toyota had no interest in upgrading it to meet the updated emissions standards. It was replaced by the XP150 series Yaris saloon and the Suzuki Baleno based Glanza hatchback. It was model year 8 of 10 in the Toyota Etios (single generation), 2010 to 2023, coming after the 2019 model year and before the 2021 model year.
