The Grand Lancer continued in Taiwan in 2020, built by China Motor Corporation. It was Mitsubishi's only Lancer after the end of worldwide production in 2017, an extensive facelift of the existing platform with the Dynamic Shield grille, kept in production because of the popularity of the Lancer name in the Chinese speaking world. All of CMC's models are of Mitsubishi origin, adjusted to the Taiwanese market. The Lancer was introduced in 1973 and had ten generations.
