In March 2020 two new grades, the Touring and the GT, were added to the CX-8 range in Australia, and the 2.5 liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine became the base engine under the 2.2 liter diesel, as a front wheel drive only. The CX-8 was launched in Singapore by Eurokars on 16 October 2020 in the Elegance and Luxury grades. Outside of Japan, the CX-8 is available in China, Oceania, and Southeast Asia. The CX-8 is a three-row version of the CX-5.
