The Corsa F was unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, and the Corsa is the first of the Opel and Vauxhall models developed under the PSA ownership. The original project had been planned on a General Motors platform but was cancelled due to PSA Group's acquisition of Opel and Vauxhall, with the cancelled project reaching production in a saloon form as the Buick Excelle in China. Development restarted on the PSA CMP platform.
