The 2019 Impala saw only minor changes, with the jet black interior added to the LT Convenience Package and wheel locks made standard. In the third quarter of 2018 three new colors were introduced, Nightfall Gray Metallic, Cajun Red Tintcoat and Graphite Metallic. General Motors had meant to end production in June 2019, but kept the Impala in production. General Motors then planned to idle the Detroit Hamtramck and Oshawa assembly facilities and retire the Impala nameplate.
