The Exiga was discontinued in Japan in March 2018. The Exiga had been a seven seat mid size MPV sold in Japan from June 2008, which debuted as a concept car during the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Subaru left the seven seat segment to the Ascent for North America and nothing for Japan. The Exiga debuted as a concept car at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The Exiga is not classified as a compact MPV because its exterior dimensions are not in compliance with Japanese government regulations.
