Named the World's Most Beautiful Car in 2018, the Velar took the design award at the World Car Awards. Its interior, influenced by the Jaguar I-Pace, had three touchscreens controlling most of the cabin's features, and the driver sat lower than in any earlier Land Rover, because sportiness and road performance were priorities. The Touch Duo infotainment of the Velar was passed to the Range Rover Sport when that car was facelifted for 2018.
