The facelifted third generation Alphard and second generation Vellfire were unveiled on 25 December 2017. They carried the second generation Toyota Safety Sense system as standard equipment across all variants once released in January 2018. It was model year 2 of 7 in the Toyota Alphard (third generation, AH30), 2015 to 2022, coming after the 2016 model year and before the 2018 model year.
