For the 2017 model year the R/T trim was replaced by the GT trim. The 2017 Journey continued as Dodge's smallest SUV after the Nitro, built in Mexico at the Toluca Assembly facility, with just over 1.1 million eventually manufactured before production ended in 2020. It was sold in five and seven passenger form with the 2.4 liter four cylinder engine as standard. It was marketed globally except the Middle East, in left and right hand drive.
