The Chiffon went on sale on 13 December 2016 as an OEM supply of the Daihatsu Tanto, made at the second district of the Daihatsu Shiga plant, the last model newly added in the time of Fuji Heavy Industries. It came as the normal Chiffon and the dress up Chiffon Custom, with grades equal to the Tanto, and with the Smart Assist III collision mitigation system standard on every car. It had power sliding doors on both sides, unlike the hinged doors of the earlier Lucra.
