The 2016 SRT Viper was part of the fifth generation that generally received poor sales, and Fiat Chrysler had said it would end production in 2017. The 645 horsepower V10 and the six speed manual were unchanged, and the Viper ACR with the Extreme Aero Package was the track focused version. Other reports say the car was discontinued because it could not meet the side curtain airbag rule of FMVSS 226.
