In 2015 the Dodge Viper was renamed the SRT Viper and the engine received an extra 5 horsepower, raising the maximum power output to 645 horsepower. The 2015 models carried the new lower price after the cut on unsold 2014 cars. In October 2015 Fiat Chrysler announced that the Viper would end production in 2017, and the ACR set an unofficial 7 minutes 1.67 seconds Nurburgring lap that month with the Extreme Aero Package.
