For the 2016 model year Cadillac redesigned the 3.0 liter V6 engine, and an eight speed automatic transmission was introduced, with paddle shift. The 2.0 liter turbo and the 3.6 liter V6 models both introduced Stop Start technology. The base 2.5 liter engine of 202 horsepower was sold until the 2016 model year, in the ATS built in the United States. The 2016 ATS had the eight speed automatic and a revised V6, in the fourth model year of the car.
