The Avanza received its first facelift on 12 August 2015, led by chief engineer Kazuhiko Yamashita, which swapped in the 1.3 liter 1NR-VE and 1.5 liter 2NR-VE Dual VVT-i engines for the older K3-VE and 3SZ-VE units and added a new front and rear fascia. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Avanza (second generation, F650), 2011 to 2021, coming after the 2014 model year and before the 2016 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Avanza run from 2004 to 2022.
