2014 Ford S-Max

The next S-Max was first shown at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, so the first generation car was in its last year on sale. The S-Max of 2014 used Duratorq diesel or Duratec and EcoBoost petrol engines with five or six speed manual gearboxes and a six speed automatic option. The S-Max was a Ford designed mid size people carrier that shared parts with the Galaxy and the Mondeo, and it was sold only in Europe. Ford marketed it both as a multi purpose vehicle and as a sports activity vehicle, aimed at buyers who wanted space without giving up driving fun.
