The 2014 TL was the final model year. In early 2014 Honda announced it would replace the TL with the new TLX sedan, which would also replace the TSX, and production of the TL ended in March 2014. The 2015 TLX went on sale later that year. Over its four generations the TL had been Acura's best-selling model until the MDX outsold it in 2007, and sales had decreased after the 2008 model year. Over the span the TL had also been sold in Japan as the Honda Inspire until 2000 and as the Honda Saber until 2004.
