The Challenger took on two new engines for 2011 while the Ram head emblem left the car as the Ram truck line became its own brand. The SE and Rallye received the 305 horsepower 3.6 liter Pentastar V6, and the SRT8 swapped the 6.1 for the 6.4 liter 392 Hemi V8 rated at 470 horsepower, with a larger chin spoiler. Both the R/T and the SRT8 were rated at a top speed of 170 miles per hour. It was the first year of the 392 Hemi V8, and the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 became the engine of the SE.
