The facelifted 2010 MKZ was styled under Chief Designer Derryl Behmer and Design Director Peter Horbury and released in the spring of 2009, with a gasoline or hybrid powertrain. New features included a reverse camera, rain sensing wipers, adaptive HID headlights, a capless fuel filler, a new center stack with a high mounted GPS and a radar controlled blind spot monitor. The MKZ used acoustic glass for the windscreen and a sport package was offered.
