In its first year on the North American market the Transit Connect was named North American Truck of the Year for 2010. In that year Canada Post chose it, buying 1,175 vans to replace a large part of its Grumman LLV fleet, in left hand drive form. The Transit Connect was Ford's compact panel van, developed by Ford of Europe as a dedicated commercial vehicle. It sat between the Transit Courier and the Transit Custom in the Ford Transit range.
