Seven seat models of the new C-Max entered the European market at the end of 2010, except in Russia, where only the seven seat version was sold. The first generation C-Max sold alongside it in 2010 for the last time, in New Zealand in small numbers as well as Europe. The C-Max was a five door compact people carrier that Ford built on the same platform as the Focus. A longer seven seat version called the Grand C-Max sat above it in the range.
