As of 2010 the Dakota was considered a part of the Ram lineup. However, the Dodge emblem still existed on the tailgate, and the truck was interchangeably referred to as a Ram Dakota or Dodge Dakota. The Dakota was marketed as the Ram Dakota for the final two years of production, as a mid size pickup truck manufactured by Chrysler, and its Mitsubishi Raider sibling had been discontinued in 2009. It was built at Warren Truck Assembly.
