The 2009 Dakota continued the facelifted third generation mid size pickup, with the 4.7 liter V8 producing 310 horsepower and built-in cargo box utility rails. Its Mitsubishi Raider sibling was discontinued in 2009. The Dakota was a body on frame pickup built at Warren Truck Assembly in Michigan, the first mid size pickup with an optional V8 engine and sold with the Dodge name through the 2009 model year.
