2009 Mazda CX-9

Automobiles

The CX-9 continued through 2009 with the 3.7 liter V6 and six speed automatic transmission, the second full year of the Mazda built engine, as the three row flagship of Mazda's crossover range. The platform it shared with the Ford Edge was used for many Ford and Mazda cars. It had blind spot monitoring and a rear view camera as standard, along with side curtain airbags for all three rows of seats. The first generation was based on the Ford CD3 platform, and the Ford Edge was its close mechanical sibling.
