A heavy duty towbar from the German manufacturer MVG, backwards compatible with all models from 2007 onwards, was sold only through authorised Mitsubishi dealerships. The fourth generation Pajero NS was in its first full year, with the 3.8 liter V6 and 3.2 liter turbo diesel engines depending on the market, the Pajero and Shogun names in use except North America where the Montero had ended. The Pajero Sport, which shared its name, was built on the Triton platform and was smaller in size.
