The Everest of 2007 lacked a lockable rear differential, as it kept the double wishbone front suspension and live rear axle with leaf springs from the Ranger. It was a seven seat SUV built in Thailand, with the 3.0 litre TDCi diesel introduced at the 2006 facelift. In India the Everest was called the Endeavour, and the SUV had no Mazda counterpart. The Everest was a seven seat SUV built on the Ranger pickup and sold mainly in the Asia Pacific region.
