In September 2005 the Vios received minor cosmetic changes to its exterior and interior for the 2006 model year, and from 2005 the Vios was also marketed alongside its hatchback complement known as the Yaris in many countries. Singapore released the facelift model in 2005 in E and S trim levels. It was model year 4 of 5 in the Toyota Vios (first generation, XP40), 2002 to 2006, coming after the 2004 model year and before the 2006 model year.
