The S180 Crown came out in late 2003 and drew on the Zero Crown concept car. Left hand drive examples were offered again for the first time since 2001, though only the ones made in China by Tianjin FAW Toyota for sale in the Chinese market. This was the first model year of the Toyota Crown (twelfth generation, S180), 2003 to 2007, which took over from the Toyota Crown (eleventh generation, S170); the 2004 model year follows it.
