The fourth generation 4Runner, the N210, was introduced as the 2003 model with a V6 and a V8 engine option. In early 2003 an Appearance Package became optional for the SR5 with color keyed cladding, bumpers and liftgate trim, and in April it was made standard along with fog lamps, running boards and 16 inch aluminum wheels. This was the first model year of the Toyota 4Runner (fourth generation, N210), 2003 to 2009, which took over from the Toyota 4Runner (third generation, N180); the 2004 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota 4Runner run from 1984 to 2025.
