In October 2000 the truck model of the Bongo Brawny was discontinued due to the introduction of the Mazda Titan Dash 1 ton. The Bongo of 2000 was in its second year of the fourth generation, the SK platform van and truck sold in Japan at various Mazda, Anfini and Autozam dealers, and as the Mitsubishi Delica Cargo. It also formed the basis for the long running Kia Bongo range. The Bongo was also known as the Ford Econovan and Eunos Cargo, and it has been built with rear, middle and front mounted engines.
