First generation body style coupes continued to be sold past the 2000 model year to select export markets. In 2000 DaimlerChrysler presented the redesigned Sebrings, the sedan, coupe and convertible, at the New York Auto Show for the 2001 model year. The 2000 Sebring was the last model year of the first generation coupe and convertible, in LX, LXi, JX, JXi and JXi Limited trims. Chrysler built the coupe in Normal, Illinois, and the convertible in Mexico.
