The Legnum of 1999 was in its fourth year, a station wagon of the eighth generation Galant that won popularity with a sharp front mask with a reverse slant nose and a well balanced rear style, with the GDI engine cars as the main sales at the time. It was 30 mm taller than the Galant with roof rails and had a longer rear overhang, which gave more luggage space, and four wheel multi link suspension. The Legnum was sold in Japan at both the Galant stores and the Car Plaza stores.
