1998 Mitsubishi Legnum

In January 1998 the Super VR-4, a special limited edition of 800 based on the VR-4 Type S, with large aero parts, a Ralliart muffler, a MOMO leather steering wheel and Recaro bucket seats, went on sale in Hamilton Silver and Palma Red. A minor change in September 1998 renewed the front and rear design, and the 2.5 liter V6 naturally aspirated engine was dropped, so that the V6 cars were turbo only. The front mask of the Legnum, like that of the Galant and the Aspire, is often called the Gundam look.
