1999 Mazda 323

Automobiles

In 1999 Ford of Japan ceased to market Mazda based models, and the Ford Laser, along with the Ixion, Telstar and Festiva, was discontinued. The ninth generation Familia, the BJ, was in its first full year, as the Protege in North America, and the Haima saloon renamed the CA7130 and CA7160 that year after FAW took over Haima, was based on the earlier Familia. Mazda built the Familia at its Hiroshima plant and also assembled it from knock down kits in several countries.
