A wagon version was launched in March 1997, with a drag coefficient of 0.33, but was quickly replaced by the TF series equivalent three months later. The TF and KF series was introduced in June 1997, with the Executive offered with a 2.4 liter four cylinder and a 3.0 liter V6. The majority of its engines, most notably the original four cylinder Astron II and later Cyclone V6 engines, were manufactured at the Lonsdale, South Australia plant.
