1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Automobiles

A minor style revision was applied to the Eclipse for the 1997 model year. The second generation was by then in its third year, with the Spyder convertible beside the coupes, in the Base, RS, GS, GS-T and GSX trims, and Diamond-Star Motors, renamed Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America in 1995, built it in Normal, Illinois, together with the Eagle Talon. In Japan the first two generations were sold through the Mitsubishi Car Plaza retail chain.
