1997 Mercury Villager

Automobiles

By 1997 the Villager's base price had surpassed the Ford Windstar's by several hundred dollars, and the top Villager Nautica models cost around 6,000 dollars more. At 190 inches long, the first generation Villager nearly matched the extended length 1991 to 1995 Chrysler minivans, with a single sliding door on all versions. It was produced by Ford at its Ohio Assembly facility in Avon Lake, Ohio. Nissan sold the same van as the Quest.
