The Starlet 90 series was introduced in 1996, retaining the same three or five door hatchback ideas, and the EP91 came to Europe in the second quarter. In December 1996 the Glanza S Limited was released, and in Australia the EP91 was on sale from March 1996. This was the first model year of the Toyota Starlet (fifth generation, P90), 1996 to 1999, which took over from the Toyota Starlet (fourth generation, P80); the 1997 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Starlet run from 1973 to 1999.
