1996 Mitsubishi Lancer

Automobiles

The seventh generation Lancer in 1996 was in its second year as a rebadged Mirage sedan, spawning the Lancer Evolution IV, V and VI that won the World Rally Championship. The fifth generation Lancer was sold until 1996 in Australia and New Zealand, and the Asti coupe was badged as a Lancer in Australia and the Philippines. Japanese production at the Mizushima plant went on, and local production in China later continued under the Lancer name.
