Launched at the Paris Motor Show in October 1994, the second generation Scorpio was made available in saloon or estate styles only, the hatchback having been dropped, with largely the same floorpan and engines as its predecessor and improvements in suspension and handling, including self levelling rear suspension on the estates. In the United Kingdom and Ireland the Scorpio had been badged Granada until 1994. The Scorpio was an executive car from Ford Germany with the same floorpan and engines as its predecessor.
