The Scorpio Mark I of 1993 was in its last full year before the second generation, with the facelift of 1992 having aligned the look of the Granada with the Mondeo, which replaced the Sierra in 1993. The 2.0 litre DOHC engine had effectively replaced the slow selling 2.4 V6 in most markets, which remained in production until 1994. It replaced the European Granada. The Scorpio was an executive car from Ford Germany, sitting on a stretched version of the Sierra floorpan.
